Where We Live

This is the home we had was in Franklin, North Carolina. Franklin is a rural town about 2 hours north of Atlanta, in the south-west corner of the state.
The home was builtin 1990. It was on about an acre of what had been pasture land, in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains
We had a beautiful view, lots of wildlife (deer, turkeys and even bobcats) and an occasional cow, that broke the pasture fence.

Our next-door neighbors in Carolina !!

We first moved to Florida in 1995. We bought a townhome in Seacrest, about 5 miles west of Panama City Beach. It was across the street from the Gulf of Mexico. From 1995 to 2000, we spent the winter in Seacrest and the rest of the year in Franklin, North Carolina.
In 2001, we decided to find 1 home and sell the other houses. We found a home in Bluewater Bay in Niceville, Florida.
Bluewater is across the bay from Destin and the Gulf of Mexico. Developed in 1984, Bluewater Bay is a 36 hole golf course community, with the homes scattered around the fairways. It has pools, tennis and lakes, but the thing that sold us, since we don't play golf, is the park-like setting and abundance of open land.
