[1] All Fast Knights except
Byzantines, become non-Fast after 1250.
[2] Knights may dismount as Foot
Knights of same class, grade etc.
[3] All Generals (including the C-in-C)
are costed as Reliable Allies, but can become either Cautious on a D6 roll of ‘1’ or Impetuous on a roll of ‘6’ (at the beginning of
the game or in case of an enemy Command becoming demoralized). In the case of
an Ally Command becoming Impetuous, its Knights must attack
directly its closest opponents, at maximum speed, without regard for any foot (going
around impassable terrain or permanent fortifications).
[4] Turcopoles may dismount as Sp, F, Msl/Shk [Bow] of similar class, grade etc.
[5] Up to half may be deployed as Heavy.
[6] Up to half may be deployed as Heavy.
[7] Up to half may be deployed as Heavy.
[8] Only with Richard Coeur de Lion
(1191-1192). They replace other spearmen/crossbowmen and fight as front rank Spearmen with Sp cohesion factor (+3) and a
second rank of Crossbowmen.
[9] Turcopole lancers may support
Brother Knights as a rear rank.
[10] A mixed element fighting as a single rank of Spearmen with the Bowmen cohesion factor (+1) and shooting in two ranks.
