[1] Celtic
allies are classed and costed as Reliable,
but may become either Cautious on
an initial D6 roll of ‘1’,or Impetuous on
‘6’. If they become Impetuous,
their entire Command must immediately make full moves to attack the
closest enemy, regardless of other tactical priorities. CoPs may not be used to
stop formations from attacking.
[2] Charioteers
may dismount as Irr Sw, F, (H), Shk/Msl
[Jav] (only if commander), or Irr Bb, F, (H), Shk/Msl [Jav], or as Irr Ps, (H), Msl/Shk [Jav], of similar class,
grade etc.
[3]
Dismounted Cv can fight as charioteers, above.
[4] Same as above.
[5] Charioteers
may dismount as Irr Sw, F, (H), Shk/Msl
[Jav] (only if commander), or Irr Bb, F, (H), Shk/Msl [Jav], or as Irr Ps, (H), Msl/Shk [Jav], of similar class,
grade etc.
[6] Above 24, replace equal number of Bb
elements.
[7] Foot usually fought in units of 6 to 9 elements. Fast Bb cannot be mixed together with Close Order troops either in the same unit or in the same Command.
[8] Gallic
tribes may fight either as Fast or as Close
Order troops but may not mix the two types in the same Command. British
have to be Fast
