O what a web we weave

LJA
They whisper "Come,
It is the truths that hold me
there is a home for you"
stretched in quiet grays
And so I follow
among the gossamer rainbow threads
their magical flute
of story
seeking home
The word and touch of thought
seeking safety
revealing a heart
seeking welcome
afraid of letting life too close
Believing
so running from it
even as the threads
into gaiety
wrap tighter around me
into laughter's fancy
holding me bound
into dreams of once upon a time
until your ego once again
somewhere where happiness
needs to be fed.
once reigned
