written in ink
more than just a pen name
and alias, a disguise
more of a lifestyle, a way of life
the way things are
the significance behind it means more than you can imagine
take the words literally
think about it logically
when i say written in ink
i mean written permanently
you may never come across a poet writing in pencil
the ones who do have a fear of committment
committment to their words
committment to their hearts, their feelings
even worse, afraid of not being able to change
writing in ink as opposed to writing in pencil
tells you how things are
and not how they should be
you can only sketch in pencil
and earse all the lines you want
but then again, that's art
and with art comes imagination and room to erase
to erase the bad sketches and drawings
from your mind and you rheart
there was a pun intended
intended for me to realize the way things are
not the way one wants them to be
to put things in perspective
so that i will know that once it was written
it's set in stone
life is et in stone, what's done is done
there's no turning back and no room for erasing
we can only choose carefully which pen we want
and how we're going to use it
no acceptions to the rule
no white out, or crossing out
no loopholes like erasable pens
all we have is ourselves
and what we do with ourselves becomes indelible
once we pick up that pen
next time you pick up a pen,
think about what you're doing
"it was written"
...written in ink...
