I don�t know about you, but there are times in my life when I need help. I need help at work getting done various activities that my job requires. I need help at home keeping the place cleaned up. I need help online finding things and posting messages. I look for help for these things from other people, rarely seeking God�s help in matters such as these.
The ancient psalmist points out that in times of distress and need, we need to seek out strength and guidance from God. While help with everyday activities given from ordinary people is fine, we must remember that it is God�s help that is the only thing that can save us from the influences and distresses of the world. God provides us at every moment with the strength and wisdom to face any hardship, struggle or pain that may come our way. God is the help that we need.
Dear God, you truly are the maker of all on and in the earth, and it is you who continues to guide us. Help us to remember to call upon your name in our moments of need, and continue to steer us with you heavenly wisdom and quiet strength. Amen.
