Caitlin Jewel "Jutterbud" Ozima
Caitlin was one of my junior high kids at Placentia Presbyterian Church, and had been attending the groups I worked with since she was in fifth grade. She had just graduated from eighth grade and was looking forward to going into high school here in California. She was visiting family in Southern Ohio with a cousin, and was going to be traveling all around the eastern US. On Sunday, 3 July 2005, she was on her way to church with her cousins when a SUV ran a red light and smashed into the car she was riding in, killing her and her cousins. She was a wonderfully bright young lady, and I loved her as a student and friend very much.
"God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away." ~ Revelation 21.4
"No more weepin'. No more weepin' No more weepin' over me And before I'll be a slave, I'll be buried in my grave And go home to my Lord and be free" ~ Old Spiritual
"at least we know that she is happier now and is with the lord, we know that she has made a difference in the lives of many others, and not just me, honestly I am so glad that I met her and even tho I hardly knew her she made many of my days so much better I kno that God sent her to earth to change my life and other peoples too. she is happy now with the lord and I kno now that she is present stil and now I can b near her and feel her warmth all the time not just when I see a picture of her, strange how in certain circumstances just a few conversations with a wonderful person like her can change a life forever. and I will keep those of you who were close to her in my prayers, her smile and joy will be missed" ~ Rachel, age 15 - roommate of Caitlin's on a retreat in 2004
