At seven-thirty Zac and Ginger were in their hotel room eating a room service dinner of pizza in bed naked. "I don't know if I want to go home," Ginger said, taking another bite of her slice of pizza. "I'm having a great birthday right here."
"Well your parents want to do this whole cake thing and Kris wanted you to be there and allwe don't have to stay long. Blow out the candles, eat some cake and come back here."
"Blow the what and eat some what?" Ginger asked, a grin on her face. She kissed his cheek. "We can do that right here." He rolled his eyes.
"Ginger"
"I don't want to go. We're losing valuable timetwenty minutes there, twenty minutes back, however long they keep us thereI'm going for the record of how many times two people can have sex in one evening."
"Three's enough for me."
"Not me."
"Ginger, I'm exhausted." She scrunched up her nose and turned away. "Three times in three hours is definitely my record."
"Your record?" she asked.
"What?"
"How many times have you had sex before me?" she asked.
"You knew I wasn't a virgin, Ginger."
"I know, but geez, how many times have you done it before me?"
"What's the big deal? I know you weren't a virgin. I don't go asking you how many times you've had sex before me."
"One guy," she said. "One guy I dated for over a year before I slept with him." He threw up his hands.
"I didn't want to know that!"
"Yes you did and you know you did," she said. "That question has been going through your mind since the first day you met me. I know it has. You thought I was easy."
"No I didn't!"
"Come on, I spent the night with you the first night I met you."
"Yeah, but we didn't have sex! I didn't think you were easy at all! I knew you were different, Ginger." She rolled her eyes. "I did."
"You still haven't answered my question."
"Once," he said.
"My ass. You were too good for it to be your second time."
"How many times did you do it to know what's good and what's not good?"
"It was one guy!"
"Yeah, but how many times? You and me have had sex at least ten times since we started going out and we've only been dating seven months."
"Wow, has it been that long already?" she asked, stopping to think about it.
"Now you're avoiding my question."
"It wasn't ten times," Ginger said. "Not that many."
"How many, though?"
"I don't knoweight?"
"Eight?" he asked. "Eight! That's six more times than I have!"
"I thought you said you only did it once," Ginger said, eyeing him. He got out of the bed.
"Okay, I did it more than once," Zac said.
"How many times? Don't lie to me."
"Four."
"With how many different girls?" she asked.
"Five."
"Five?! You said you only did it four times!"
"Did I say four? I meant five." She gave him a look. "I'm serious. I'm telling the truth now. I only did it five times."
"With five different girls?" Ginger asked. He nodded. "Do you even remember any of their names?"
"Yes I do," Zac said, defending himself. "I'm not a whore like Taylor."
"Ooh, how many times has Taylor done it?" Ginger asked.
"I'm not talking to you about my brother's sex life, especially not while we're both naked." Ginger smiled.
"It's just a little tidbit I might want to have locked in my memory for my sister. Give me a ballpark estimate. You don't have to tell me how many exactly because I'm sure you don't know." Zac thought about it.
"Although I don't want to be talking about this, it's got to be somewhere in the hundreds." Her eyes grew.
"No! Really?"
"Wellmaybe not that many. But it's been with at least 20 girls, and that's not exaggerating. He is a whore. He will sleep with anything that has tits as long as he can get a clean getaway. He's probably swarming with infectious STDsyou better warn your sister." Zac thought of something. "She's not a virgin, is she?"
"No, she's not."
"Good. That would freak him out." She giggled. "We have to go to your house. We're going to be late."
"I don't want to go."
"Ginger, five minutes."
"Five minutes is enough time to do it again," she said, crossing her arms and pouting. Zac gasped.
"How dare you! You know it takes seven minutes." She grinned, looking up at him. "That is a direct insult to my manhood right there." She rolled her eyes.
"We're going to have to take a shower before we go," she said. "We smell like sex." Ginger got up and walked over to the bathroom. "Are you going to join me?"
"We're not going to have sex in the shower."
"I don't know, it might be quicker if you join me"
"I bet you anything it would take less time for you and me to have showers separately than to have a shower together and have sex while we're doing it."
"Only one way to find out" He rolled his eyes.
"Fine." She smiled and he followed her into the bathroom.
"Hello?" Ginger asked, walking into the house. "We're here." Zac and Ginger ended up getting home at eight-thirty. The shower took longer than they thought and they hit traffic on the way back to the house.
"In here, sis!" Kris yelled. Ginger looked around the corner and the family was having dinner at the kitchen table with Taylor sitting in Ginger's seat. From the looks of it, they just started. "We were waiting for you, but then dinner was ready and we just kind of started without you"
"That's okay, we already ate," Ginger said. "Umwe'll be in my room." Ginger turned around and began to walk towards her room.
"Hey, wait, join us! There's plenty of room," Kris said. Ginger turned around and looked at Taylor a moment, then at Kris.
"No." Ginger turned around again and walked into her room. She collapsed onto her bed and Zac walked in the room.
"Very suave, Ging," he said. She made a face.
"They're going to take forever at dinner. They're going to draw this out as long as possible and we won't get back to the hotel until late and then we'll be tired and have to come all the way back. We shouldn't have came here to begin with. I don't want to be here withwith him out there!"
"Ginger, you can lay there and be depressed about it or you could not be. This is your birthday. Yay birthday!" She smiled, sitting up in the bed. "We don't have to go out there. You don't have to look at him and I don't have to look at him, but at least try to be happy."
"All right, all right. Come here."
"No sex with your parents in the house."
"I knowcome here anyway." He sat down on her bed and she kissed him. "I love you."
"I love you too," he said. "We still have to go back to the hotel, you know. We still have to check out." She gave him a smile. "As long as I get you back here before you have to go to school tomorrow, everything will be fine."
"All right."
Zac and Ginger laid in Ginger's bed watching television until the family was finished dinner. As Kris called them over for cake, one of Zac's videos came on television. "Hey!" Ginger said, pointing to the television. "It's you!"
"Whaddya know! It is! Let's go," Zac said, pushing Ginger along.
"Wait! I haven't seen you on TV in forever!" Zac rolled his eyes.
"Let's go, Ginger. You can see me right here right now. See? I'm right here!" She gave him a look but went out to the dining room where her mother was lighting the candles on her cake. It turned out it had a baby picture of Ginger graphed onto it.
"Hey, it's a little me!" Ginger said. "Where'd you get the picture?"
"Umwe got it from Alex," Kris muttered.
"Oh, one of my childhood memories he didn't tear apart into little pieces. Precious." The room grew silent. "I'm sorry. Okay, sing to me. I'm ready to be serenaded." The family started singing the happy birthday song, quickly drowned out by Taylor and Zac's powerful harmony. Ginger put her hand over her mouth, her eyes tearing up. Zac had never sung to her before and she'd never been this close to him while he was doing it, especially when it came to him singing with his brother. She never knew exactly how awesome his voice really was.
The song was long over and they were waiting for Ginger to blow out the candles. "Ging, babe, are you okay?" Zac asked. She nodded, shaking her head clear of its thoughts.
"Yeah, yeah I'm just fine. Sorry." She didn't make a wish because at that moment, she didn't want anything, and blew out her candles. Everyone applauded and they took a few pictures. Ginger and Zac sat on the recliner sharing a piece of cake.
"What happened back there?" Zac whispered in her ear.
"I just realized how lucky I am," she said. "To have you, to have a familythis is the best birthday I've ever had." He smiled.
"I love you."
"I love you."
