Kristina woke up three days later. There were no leads and nothing that would help us find the person who was doing this. Kris knew what happened to her, and in fact she was raped, but she said the guy was wearing a mask and so she couldn�t see who it was. Ginger got to talk to her after the cops left, before Taylor could sneak his way in and make her upset.
�Hey chica,� she said, sitting down. Kris smiled and tried to sit up. �Please don�t force yourself into sitting up, it makes you look pathetic.� She laughed, but ended up coughing and it took a moment for her to calm herself down.
�At least I know I�m loved, Ginger. My God, why are you so rude?� Kris kidded.
�Because I was made that way. You know there were a lot of long-kept secrets revealed while you were out.� Kris rolled her eyes. �Seriously, Taylor was in here for a long time confessing his love to you.� Kris stiffened and looked away.
�He shouldn�t of,� she said and sighed. �He really shouldn�t of.�
�I managed to get in here and let you know before he could come in and propose or something. I don�t know what�s with him; he�s been acting really weird the past few days. I had to tell him that�s you�re an indecisive person.�
�Dammit Ginger why�d you have to tell him? Can�t you keep anything to yourself?� She sounded upset. �You always go and say the things you�re not supposed to say and I can�t believe it.�
�He�s ready to make a big commitment to you and if you don�t choose between loving him and the using him he�s going to get hurt and he won�t be able to recover. Do think about this, Kristina, you have to live with him.�
�I hate it when you�re right. Dammit I hate it when you�re right.� Ginger reached over and gave her a gentle hug.
�Stay healthy, I�m sending him in,� Ginger said and then got up. Kris let out a breath and sat back. �Please try and give him some time to speak. He seems to care about you a lot; I don�t want to see another beautiful relationship go to waste. I have to go and convince Roni to take Isaac back before I have a hernia.�
�I�ll try and give him a chance, Ginger. It�s not often that someone loves me that much.� She smiled and walked out of the room, proceeding to push Taylor in. After closing the door she made sure to take a close, but inconspicuous watch over them. Ginger didn�t want anything bad to happen now. That was the last thing she needed. Zac stood next to her and shook his head.
�I cannot believe you�re spying.� She gave him a look.
�I�m not spying, Kris knows I�m watching. Well, at least I think she knows. I can�t tell. But, hey, I pushed him in there and I told her to listen to him and I want to make sure everything goes all right.� Ginger peered in just in time to see Taylor gently kiss her sister and then sit down.
�Taylor I don�t know if we should be having this discussion now,� Kris automatically said. He sat back and put his hand on his forehead, letting his fingers go limp.
�I think we should. You're in just the same condition you would be if we were at home and having this discussion. You know who to blame for this.�
�Actually, we know who to thank for this,� Kris said. �Otherwise the situation probably would of worsened and we�d be stuck�Taylor I do love you.�
�No, you are in love with me, you don�t love me.� She sat up carefully and crossed her arms. �You know we aren�t getting anywhere in our relationship. It�s been a total straight line for weeks now.�
�It happens in every relationship. Just look at Zac and Ginger! They don�t do anything but they�re still desperately in love. Just look at them!� Kris pointed out the window. Zac had his arms around Ginger and they both had a dazed smile on their face. Taylor looked just in time to see Zac take Ginger's left hand and kiss it.
�Well Kris, that�s Zac and Ginger. We both know they�re boring.�
�You know we could learn a lot from them,� Kris said. �As much as we probably don�t want to, we most definitely could. They�re all planned out and we�re spontaneous. Why don�t for once we do something that someone else expects us to do?�
�Break up.� Kris gave Taylor a look.
�They don�t expect us to break up, they expect us to make up you idiot.�
�Well we�re not getting anywhere with you insulting me.� She sighed. �Why are you the way you are?� Taylor asked, but didn�t let her answer. �You�re so edgy and cynical; you�re out there and you just speak your mind. You don�t care what anyone thinks of you and you live life.� He let himself ponder what he just said, a dazed look on his face. �I think that�s why I fell in love with you. I don�t know, it happened so fast.�
�I remember why I fell in love with you,� Kris said, getting uncomfortable and pulling her legs to her chest. �I fell in love with you for all the wrong reasons. I needed someone and I really didn�t care who, I was just sick of seeing Zac and Ginger so happy together and happy all the time.� Kris looked out the window again and saw Ginger smiling. It made her smile. �They so need each other. Ginger wouldn�t be able to get through her days without him and he needs her to keep himself grounded.�
�I need you.�
Kris didn�t say anything. She pulled him over and kissed him, because the feelings inside were still jumbled and unclear. She had no idea what to say to him anymore. Taylor realized her kiss was just so she didn�t have to say anything. He was more confused than she was. Was she going to move on, or was she going to stay? Kris immediately realized that Taylor had a strong grip on her as they embraced, liked he was afraid to lose her. �I love you Taylor,� she whispered. �I really do. You are a big part of my life and you are my reason to keep fighting. I have a feeling if you didn�t care about me than I�d probably be gone right now. I probably wouldn�t have fought against the guy in the house and I wouldn�t of pressed the security button.�
�Why?�
�I don�t have much to live for, Taylor. You�re one of the main reasons. I got six people who actually care about me and you�re the only one who�d love me in a way that I need.� He let go of her, and stuck his hand under her chin, lifting it so her eyes met with his.
�You don�t talk like that, you�re scaring me. You have a lot to live for. You have Ginger who worships the ground you walk on. She lives through so much shit because of you. She�s been through major problems and you�ve helped her through them all. You have Zac who respects you and looks out for you like his own sister. He loves you so much he doesn�t know what to do with it. You have Roni who needs a companion after her and Isaac split. You have Isaac for the same reason. He says to me all the time that he can�t go a day without laughing from something you say.� Taylor sighed. �You have me. I love you more than I love anything. You are the world to me. I wake up every morning and just turn to you to see your smile, see your face, and to see you breathe. You are me and to see you anywhere else with anyone else would just completely kill me inside.� Kris couldn't say anything to that.
�From the look on her face I think that he just poured out his soul to her,� Ginger told Zac. She was leaning against him with his arms around her. �You Hansons have a thing for doing that.�
�We do?�
�Yes you do. You do it often with me. You tell me a lot of things at the right time to make me feel happy when I�m down. When I�m at the point of depression you always find a way to lift me up and tell me depression�s for losers.�
�Well depression is for losers.�
�So you're calling yourself a loser?� She felt him stiffen and she knew she slipped once again. �Oops.�
�Who told you?� Zac asked. Ginger glanced around. Ike and Roni were sitting in the corner, talking. They wouldn�t notice if she told him.
�Roni.� She heard him take a deep breath. �I don�t understand why you didn�t tell me, I should know more than anyone else should. I mean I went through the same thing.�
�Well I wanted you to think that I was a normal person instead of having problems myself.� She turned around and looked in his eyes.
�Zac, you have no idea how relieved I am that you have problems.� He laughed. �That came out wrong but still. You know what I go through all the time and you can relate to me instead of just thinking that I�m weird.�
�You are weird.�
�I know but you know what I mean. Roni told me right after she let me know that her and Ike broke up�oops again,� she frantically said, and turned around again, her eyes darting to the two in the corner still talking.
�They broke up?� Zac said, his voice raised. She put her hands over her eyes and waited for Roni to notice.
�Ginger!� Roni said, walking over. �How could you? I told you not to tell him.�
�And I told you not to tell me anything! At least I kept it a secret for a couple of weeks��
�What the hell is going on here?� Zac asked. �For a couple of weeks? You�ve been apart that long and no one bothered to inform me about it? I know you want me to think that the world is happy and nothing could go wrong but hello! I know as a matter of fact that people don�t stay together, people get hurt and people get sick.�
�We just thought you�d worry about it or something,� Isaac said. �We see how you are with Taylor and Kris, you hover over them to make sure everything�s all right.�
�It�s just because I know how much Taylor loves Kris and I don�t want her to realize what she�s missing out by not loving him back. They seem to be working it out and I�m glad because no one has affected Taylor like this. I�m used to seeing him around with girl after girl, using them all for whatever he wants and finally he�s stopped doing that! I want him to keep what he has and to make him happy. I wanted the same for you but the two of you are so damn pigheaded to realize how much you love each other! Don�t tell me you don�t because I see you all the time together, and you just can�t act like that all the time.�
�Come on Zac, let�s go. We've upset enough people,� Ginger said, tugging lightly on his arm Zac turned to her.
�You shut up!� he yelled at her. Shocked, she backed up against the glass. He�d never raised his voice like that to her before. She knew it wasn�t her fault he yelled, but her thought process then immediately went into child mode and she felt everything was her fault.
�I�m sorry,� she whispered and slid to the ground. Zac immediately noticed and turned back to Isaac and Roni.
�Look what you made me do!� he yelled at them. He bent down next to her. �Baby come on, you know I didn�t mean it,� he whispered. She shook her head.
�It�s okay, I shouldn�t have said anything.�
�No baby, I didn�t mean it. I was upset at them; you had nothing to do with it. Come on. Get up. I need you to get up.� She shook her head. �Baby please, I love you and you need to get up. The floor is dirty, if you want to sit there�s a couch right over there.�
�That�s okay, the floor is fine.�
�I�ll carry you over there, the floor is dirty and hard. The couch is clean and comfy�� She looked at him and let out a small smile. �You want me to carry you over there?� he asked. She nodded.
�Yeah.� She stuck her arms around him and let him pick her up off the floor. He didn�t mention the lightness of her body as he walked to the other side of the room and set her down on the couch. He sat himself next to her and let her head fall on his shoulder. The nurses at the hospital ignored the situation, knowing as much as Zac did about Ginger's condition. She had a tendency to do that often, especially after a radiation treatment so they got used to her flipping out or acting like a child.
�You�re so good to me, Ginger, I should never have a reason to yell at you,� Zac said. He had gotten wrapped up in her condition that he didn�t notice Isaac and Roni, who were left at the other side of the room, confused.
Roni popped into Kris�s room, just as things were beginning to patch up. Kris raised an eyebrow and asked what the sudden entrance was about. �It seems Ginger just had a spaz attack or something like that,� she said. �What�s up with that? Zac knew exactly what to do while Ike and I stood there like fools wondering what was going on with her. Since you know everything we thought we�d ask you.� Kris noticed Ike walk in the room. Taylor was confused, considering he had no idea what they were talking about.
�Ginger has attacks every now and then where she ends up either flipping out or she just acts like a little kid and can�t interpret anything at all and she doesn�t know half the time what�s going on. It�s just another result of all of her problems. If you just treat her like the way she seems then you�ll get anywhere with her. If she ever does it and me or Zac aren�t around then just keep repeating things to her. They don�t last more than a few minutes.�
�How come you never said anything before?� Taylor asked.
�You never asked. She�s fine now, right?� Kris asked. Roni nodded.
�Her and Zac are on the couch right now doing some of their mushy junk. I hope I didn�t interrupt anything cause I was really just freaked out.� Kris shook her head, looking to Taylor.
�We were done anyway,� Taylor said, only to make Roni feel better about popping in. They were actually in the middle of making up. �Do you want to talk to her or something? I�ll go if you want me too.�
�No, not really.� They were about to leave when Kris stopped them.
�Hey, do you know why she started acting like that in the first place?� Kris asked, wondering if the attacks were linked by anything. She figured shock, but Ginger was shocked all the time.
�Zac and us were in a fight and Ginger said something. Zac snapped at her and she must have not expected it so she got upset over it.�
�What exactly was the fight about?� Kris asked.
�Ginger slipped that me and Roni were broken up and Zac got all in a thither and started yelling at us,� Ike said. �In which he called us pigheaded and said we were still in love with each other but we didn�t notice it.�
�But you are,� Taylor said. �Like he said, you just don�t notice it.� Isaac looked at Roni and she rolled her eyes.
�Whatever,� she muttered, and walked out of the room.
�I wish,� Ike said, watching as she walked down the hall and to the elevator. �Oh boy do I wish.� Isaac went out of the room, and caught up with Roni in the elevator. Ginger had settled myself finally, and watched as Roni had stormed out of the room. She figured someone in there had mentioned the fact of them getting back together or at least that they still loved each other. It was obvious Ike was still in love with her, but Roni tried to keep it to herself. Her personality was to love and to move on, but this time she couldn�t bring herself to it.
It was weird how much alike they all were and yet how much they didn�t show it. For being six best friends, they sure do keep a lot from each other. Zac and Ginger have their own life together, as do Taylor and Kris. Roni and Ike feel left out because they�re not together and the rest of the group of friends don�t want to be around everybody all the time. Sometimes Ginger feels sorry for the two of them, even though she would shoot somebody who ever felt sorry for her.
Taylor just then walked out of Kris�s room, looking for Roni. �Where�d Roni go?� he asked. �Kris wants to talk to her.�
�I think she left. After she stormed out of there she just went right in the elevator," Zac said. Taylor sighed.
�They really need to get back together,� Taylor said, then walked back into Kris�s room.
