Chapter Five

The plane landed in London sometime around nine at night, London time.

Zac and I kissed for a little while, but it was late so really we just fell asleep soon after. Diana couldnt believe that after we werent supposed to see each other was when we actually were together.

After the plane landed, Diana woke us up. I was sort of nervous, seeing a new country for the first time, and going with people who have been there countless times before.

I got my one bag and found my mom. Diana had explained everything to her, or so Ive heard. When she first came up to me, she gave me a hug and apologized.

"Youre sorry for what?" I asked her.

"Having to let him know because of a slip-up," she said.

"Actually, mom, were closer now than we were before. Before we in a huge fight, and now hes being really sweet to me."

"Oh really? Is that because what youre doing is illegal?"

"Its not illegal unless I sleep with him, mom," I told her. "And dont even ask, Im not planning on it." She shut her mouth, and walked away, getting me upset. I hate it when she just walks away. She always does, basically telling me that Im right, but in a guilty way.

I saw Taylor walk by. He didnt even turn to look at me, just grabbed his bag and walked away. Zac bounded up to me.

"Tay and Ike are still mad at you for that stuck up remark."

"And theyre just showing they are for being mad at me. Ive proven my point without even trying." Zac gave me a look. "What?"

"You need to remember these are my best friends youre talking about."

"Well, Im telling you that your best friends are acting really babyish because of a single judgment I made of them over a subject that I really didnt know much about. Seriously, I think yall would lighten up a little but I guess I was wrong."

"Yeah, well I guess so."

"Dont tell me youre mad too, cause I thought we were doing pretty good for a while here."

"No, Im not mad, they are and they wont talk to you until you apologize."

"Me?" I said, holding back a laugh. "They want me to apologize to them? They should apologize to me!"

"Why?"

"For having to put up with them for all that time! Its not easy to sit there and not say anything when your temper is raging."

"Well they dont think so," Zac said, smiling.

"They just dont understand, do they?"

"Come on, theyre going to leave without us." I gave him a smile and we walked out of the airport (surprised that there was no one there to scream) and into a black limo.

I sat next to Zac on one side, and on the other was Ike and Tay. This was something we did not need, another car trip with the four of us. Then the door opened and Diana stepped in.

"Im not about to let you four stay alone anymore. We have too much to do, and we need everyone to cooperate." She sounded more like a mother now to me, rather than a friend. I guess it was because she was with her sons, and because she was mad at us.

We sat in silence for a bit, but even with Diana there we couldnt hold out for the whole trip. "Tini, why do you bother?" Isaac asked.

"With what?"

"With the act. I know inside youre really not little miss perfect, now are you?"

"Ike, shut up," Zac said.

"No, I want to know too," Taylor said. We were clearly divided. Me and Zac versus Isaac and Taylor. "Well?"

"Nobodys perfect, not even you Taylor," I said.

"Nice," Tay said. "Did your daddy teach you that one?"

Diana didnt put a word in.

"You shut up about my father."

"Whats wrong? Did he die because you had problems?" Tay said.

Diana bit her lip.

"Shut up Taylor, Im warning you."

"Why? What are you going to do to me? Youre a twig."

"Youre worse."

Diana crossed her arms.

"Im sure your daddy taught you how to fight too. Or did he die before you could?" My anger grew, and grew, looking at that sly smirk on his face. He seemed so innocent before. And to think I had a crush on him.

"How was you daddy?"

I jumped on him.

There wasnt that much room in the back of the limo, but I grabbed him by the throat and pushed him down onto the seat. My voice turned into a low growl that only he could hear.

"You dont speak about my father ever again or I will kill you, and trust me, I know how. I can be nice and do it quickly, or if you continue to be a fucker like you are right now Ill be sure to tear off your skin inch by inch."

I gave him a punch he had been asking for with every word, and then went back to my seat.

Taylor got up and immediately turned to his mother, who had remained silent in her own position the whole time. "Mom! Youre just going to let her get away with it?" he asked.

"Taylor, you deserved it."

The limo came to a stop in front of the hotel we were staying at. The driver let Diana out first, then me and Zac got out. Zac took me inside, sensing what was coming.

He pulled me over to the corner of the hotel, away from everyone else, in the darkness. I started to cry. "Are you O.K.?" He hadnt noticed the tears.

"No," I said, the crying now turning into sobs. He put his arms around me, pulling me close to him. I was bawling my eyes out.

I sat in the corner of the room, everyone else oblivious to my presence. It was the next morning at the hotel restaurant. I could hear Taylor and Zac talking as they ate breakfast.

The first words that came out were from Zac. "Youre a real bastard, you know that?"

"Oh really?" Tay asked. Obviously he had no care at all to what happened.

"Tini was bawling her eyes out for an hour and a half last night because of you. Youre lucky she didnt go into shock!"

"Well, I guess I won."

"Is it really all about winning? Oh I guess Ill make someone cry so I can win and have everything think Im a bastard."

"Good enough for me."

"Taylor what the hell happened to you? You used to be such I great person, I always used to look up to you and I used to think you were like so great in every way. Now I look at you and your scum. I wouldnt be you if you were the last person on this earth to choose from. Its bad enough what you did to Tini last night, but today youre gloating about it!"

"I have my ways."

"Yeah well fuck you, Tay. Maybe if the world knew how you actually were then there wouldnt be Hanson, there wouldnt be millions of girls loving you and there wouldnt be a reason not to kill you."

Zac got up and left, while Taylor just sat there, finishing his breakfast like nothing ever happened.

I sat there like a dork, watching Taylor eat, mesmerized. I hated him so much, but not the same kind of hate I had with Zac when I first met him, this was pure hate and nothing could change that.

I dont know how long I sat there, but I was there even after Taylor left. Other people I didnt know occupied the seat that he sat in, two girls. I loved being able to eavesdrop and not be noticed.

"Oh my God, Taylor Hanson just sat here!" one girl said. The other girl nodded excitedly.

"I know! Isnt that just so cool that hes here in the hotel? Hes so hot."

"He is!"

I smiled to myself, being able to get to tell two fans how Taylor Hanson really is like in person. Pressing down my smile I walked over to them.

"I couldnt help but overhear you two, but Taylor Hanson isnt all that great."

"And how would you know?" one asked. I had been expecting rudeness, but I didnt care.

"Well, it happens that Im very good friends with the family and he isnt very nice. Ill gladly prove it to you."

"Is this some kind of trick?" the other one asked, suspiciously. I laughed.

"No trick. If youll just believe me Ill show you." After a while, they both nodded. "Great, whatre your names?"

"Im Kelly," one said, "and thats Rachel." I smiled. They got up and followed me upstairs to the room we were staying in. I went over to Taylors room, and luckily it was right next to another hallway. I told the two girls to hide behind the corner and shut up.

I didnt have to knock because Taylor opened up the door to leave. "Why the hell are you here?" he asked, sternly.

"Well, I heard you and Zac talking this morning. What do you think would happen if fans actually found out about the way you really are?" I asked.

"They wont find out because you wont tell them. I wont tell them, Ike wont tell them, and Zac sure the hell wont if you tell him not to."

"What makes you think Im going to tell him not to?"

"Because if you dont Ill have to take your pills." He reached in my pocket.

"Get your hand out of my pocket you pervert!" I yanked his hand out of my pocket, but he had my pills in his hand. "Oh you better give me those back, Taylor."

"No! Theyre mine now."

"Tay Ill die if I dont have those, and you know it!"

"Well then I guess youll die. Maybe youll get lucky and youre dads dead too."

"You bastard!" I told him before knocking him over and grabbing my pills. "Youre really trying to kill me by taking these, you know that. Thats murder, you can spend the rest of your life in jail."

Ike came up and saw me on him. "Oh god, please let you two be fighting," he said. I looked up to him.

"Do you have any idea what your perfect little brother did?"

"No. Im sure youre going to tell me anyway." I rolled my eyes, and sat on Taylors stomach, ignoring his pleas and cries.

"He took my pills, basically meaning if he was able to keep them I wouldnt be able to live past tomorrow." Ike gave me a strange look.

"I thought they were just for panic attacks."

"I take another one whenever I get a panic attack but really they just help me live another day."

"Tay that is just cold," Ike said, looking down at Taylor who was desperately trying to get me off him. "Get off him, Tini." I slid off his stomach and he started coughing.

"Yeah, well so is she," Tay said, after regaining his color and composure.

"Really Tay? Im cold? I inflict pain on you, I dont try to kill you."

"Yeah and sitting on my stomach and blocking my air passages really isnt trying to kill me?"

"Actually, I got off of you before you started turning colors so you should really shut up." Ike helped me up, and Taylor remained on the ground.

"Get up you dork," I said to him, and walked out of the room. I turned the corner and the two girls stood in horror. "Well, I told you he wasnt all that great."

They didnt say anything, just walked away in horror. I smiled, this was too easy to get out. Two fans now knew the truth, and they would tell other people, and soon everyone would know. Things like this spread fast.

Zac came out of his room, smiling. "Whatre you so happy about?" I asked as he came up to me.

"Nothing."

"Are you high or something?" I asked him. He shook his head. "Are you sure? Ive seen people high before and they look like you."

"No, Im not high. I just found out were about a mile away from the Doc Marten outlet store. And my lovely yellow boots are starting to get too small."

"Oh god no!" I said, turning away. "I refuse to let you go there and get some more yellow boots!"

"Too bad." He grabbed my hand and ran to the elevator.
