Alex's Lemonade Stand was founded in 2000 by a 4 year old cancer patient named Alexandra "Alex" Scott.  She decided to hold a lemonade stand in her front yard to help "her doctors" find a cure for kids with cancer.

For the next 4 years despite her deteriorating health, Alex held an annual lemonade stand to raise money for childhood cancer research.  Alex died peacefully at the age of 8 on August 1, 2004.  She had raised over $1 million for childhood cancer research in her short lifetime.

MOMS Club of Hoover, AL has been touched by this story and we would like to help continue her good work by holding our own lemonade stand.  We will be holding our stand on April 28, 2007 at the Wal-Mart on Hwy 150.  We would love to reach and/or exceed our personal goal of $2K.  We have received several donations that we will silent auction to the highest bidder.  Please see the link to the auction page BELOW!
UPDATE!!
We held our lemonade stand on April 28, 2007 and it was a HUGE success!  In total we have raised $1387.55 for Alex's Lemonade Stand.  We are still holding out hope that Wal-Mart will come through with our grant and match our donations.  BIG Thank you to everyone that took time out of their day to come and help with the stand!  You helped make our service project a success!
