Daddy's Little Girl

You held me on your shoulders. You held my little hands. You kissed away my boo-boo's,
and taught me how to sing.
You encouraged me to do anything. You even said I was better than the boys my age. I was
your tom-boy, but I was always your little girl.
Through difficult times, I abandoned you, but you never gave up on me. I thought I had
disappointed you and that you would never forgive me, so I stayed away.
You never gave up.
Now we are together again, but it is much better! You have taught me to be strong and to
survive. And above all, to love and forgive.
You will never be Dad to me, always Daddy. That, to me, is the highest honor!
