Spring To Life

The last of the snow melts and new life
tries to burst out from the ground.
Tender young shoots that will spring forth glorious flowers,
and send out fragrances that perfume the air.

Tempatures get ever so slightly warmer.
Trees are showing buds with the promise of blossoms
which in turn will bring succulant fruit and berries.

Birds return with their wonderous songs and
their pretty coats of color.
Indigo Buntings, Red Cardinals, American Goldenfinches,
Orange Orioles, Purple Finches, and Hummingbirds,
all eager to feast on Spring's new harvest.

Young puppies, born while it was still cold, play in the yard,
chasing flies, and chewing on anything they find.
Their mother watches carefully as she
soaks in the warm sun's rays.

This is the beginning of Spring.
The beginning of new life.
A new time of Hope and Eagerness.
Nature's way of starting all over.

May the beauty of Spring live in your heart, always!
