| Hoosier Dachshund Club is a licensed AKC specialty club approved by AKC to hold field trials and specialty conformation shows. Its mission is: * to encourage and promote the breeding of pure-bred Dachshunds and to do all possible to bring their natural qualities to perfection * to urge members and breeders to accept the standard of the breed as approved by the American Kennel Club and The Dachshund Club of America * to do all in its power to protect and advance the interests of the breed by encouraging sportsmanlike competition at dog shows, field trials, and obedience trials * to conduct sanctioned and licensed specialty shows, field trials, and under the rules of the rules of the American Kennel Club |
