Wolves Pick Up Pace - After making a few trades, the Wolves are finally starting to get some wins.  They have won 4 straight, and are moving up in the West.  The Wolves weren't expecting this after trading away both Perkins and Rodman for picks in the upcoming draft.

Slow Start for Wolves
- Not the start the Wolves were expecting.  After walking through the preseason tourney, expecations were high, but so far the Wolves have not played up to them.  They are off to an 8-7 start, but are hoping to bounce back.  Almost all of their games have been on the road, but once they get back in the Target Center, things should get back on track.

Wolves Win Preseason Tourney
- Not only did the Wolves win the preseason tournament, but they defeated teams by an average of over 30 points.  With a huge showing by tournament MVP Alonzo Mourning, the Wolves managed to keep teams from getting within 20 points of a win. Even in the championship the Wolves destroyed the Hawks 94-57.

Wolves Prepare for 4th Season
- The Timberwolves are preparing to enter their 4th season in Courtside.  With a high draft pick and few players coming back from last season, the Wolves may have one of their worst squads since the first season.  The Wolves GM remains confident they will compete in the west but is very concerned.  With a poor FA Period, the Wolves need to land forward Sam Perkins for anther season.  There are now rumors that fan favorite Pooh Richardson may be leaving Minneapolis for a younger point guard, possibly even Sam Cassell or Nick Van Exel in this upcoming draft.

Wolves Exit Playoffs Early
- The Wolves season comes to a dissapointing end, as the Portland Trailblazers beat the Timberwolves in the first round.  The Wolves have none of their Free Agents coming back for another season, unless the Wolves offer something that interests them during the FA period.

Perkins Heading to Seattle - The Wolves traded another power forward and did so by sending Perkins to the Sonics.  The Wolves received another draft pick by getting the Mavs 1994 1st Rounder.  Shaun Vandiver and Thurl Bailey were also sent to Minnesota, but most likely won't see many minutes.  Perkins was just signed to a multi-year contract this offseason, but he was producing, so the Wolves shipped him.  The Wolves are opening up plenty of minutes for Gatling and Mason now.

In the process of this trade, long time Timberwolf Randy Breuer had to be cut by the Wolves.

Rodman Leaves Minneapolis -
Rodman was aquired last year in a trade, and this season he is packing his bags and is off to LA.  The Wolves traded Dennis Rodman and Tracy Murray to the Lakers for their 1994 1st Round pick, Joe Wylie, and Jeff Turner.  The Wolves figure this trade will open up some minutes at the power forward position, and they are hoping the Lakers pick becomes valueable.

FA Period Complete -
This was a very sucsessful FA period for the Wolves, except that they mainly just signed players from last season's squad.  The Wolves brought back Sam Perkins, Scott Brooks, Anthony Mason, and Randy Breuer.  The Wolves also picked up Armen Gilliam, Rumeal Robinson, and Joe Kleine.
