| There's not much to say. We're just a bunch of friends who decided to play good music. It all started with Nick and Jeff playimg in their Oi!/street punk band The Contemptibles. Although they both listen mainly to punk, they both happened to find similar interests in bands like Bob Marley and the Wailers, Mighty Mighty Bosstones, The Slackers, Hepcat, Jimmy Cliff, Operation Ivy, Buju Banton, etc. This interest led them to start The Hooligans in July '03. with Nick's bro Phil. Although this made a pretty good band, the line up was not yet complete. Nick, Phil, and Jeff happened to recruit a new saxophone and trumpet players Mary and James.
