Otto & Leona Paulson - 1946
Leland Paulson at Farragut Park, Idaho
The following was written by Ray Bevington: My mother, Florence Paulson, was a TB patient for nearly seven years. I was raised by her parents, Otto and Leona. My grandfather, immigrated to this country from Denmark and settle in South Dakota about 1919. My last name was changed from Paulson to Bevington as my mother married after she was released from the TB Sanatorium. I moved from South Dakota to Tucson, AZ when I was 20 years old. I have an Aunt, Mary Ann Paulson, who lives south of Hooker about 2 miles. She was born and raised in the area and has lived on the current farm since 1948. If you were to ask some of the locals if they remembered my nickname which my Uncle Leland Paulson gave me and it has stuck as when I go home for vacations everyone calls me "Punky" Paulson. I also got my first haircut from Newell Sorensen. (Ray and Linda traveled from Arizona to attended the picnic this year, 2004)
