| This is a copy of a postcard that a gentleman named Roger Meyer e-mailed to me. It was sold on E-Bay (I forgot to bid on it on the last day) and he won the action. I e-mailed him to get more information about the postcard. Roger is a collector of South Dakota postal history. He is originally from Tyndall and now lives in Alexandria, VA. The great ending of this story is that Roger was in the area on 10/05/03 and stopped in Hooker to give the postcard to me. He is hoping to get a better one at a later date as the postmark is not very good. Roger would like to get pictures of the Hooker postoffice if anyone has one. |

| At one time C.H. Hartsough had hoped to open a bank in Hooker. It is thought that money became a problem and the bank never did become reality. He did, however, have check blanks and promisary notes made up as the one shown here. Copy from Phillip Olsen, Centerville, SD. |
