It's 5:11 in the PM on the busiest shopping day of the Year.
There is a rock show at the Re-Education Center in w/r...lotsa bands...and we're not one of them.  I was gonna check it out, but i'm not much for metal...and there are only 2 bands worth seeing: Downplay and Light's Out, and suffering through the obligatory 'Devestating Tribal Metal Brutality' scares me beyond words.

A sad foot-note  in
tres nefarious history occurred  recently:
Joseph Alcario Melchor II, writer of such timelesspop ditties such as 'Blackfire: Oh My!'  and  the only member of ze band--past and present--to
ever be slapped by a girl while playing a song(back in Shiprock in '98) has shaved his Whaler's Beard.
He compromised the only interesting aspect of the ensemble that welcomed the eyes of onlookers like an old friend( or Gregory Peck on a vodka binge). In its prime,
the whaler's beard could draw attention away from our shitty tunes long enough for us to make a clean getaway. In its stead, Mr. Melchor opted for a razor-back mohawk...him being 24 or 25( joe's got 2 birth certificates, i shit you not!) i think he's going through a mid-life crisis. But the mohawk--shocking as it maybe to saaniis and cheis' the rez-over--has nothing on the Whaler's Beard.  At work, Joe's mohawk is sure to find appreciators of the genus: Minerus Diggerus Crackus, and i'm sure he'll finally get laid.

Saddened by this development, i have attempted to grow my own beard in a pathetic attempt to vainly capture  our fading glory.

In other news, i'm in the process of making another web-page for the band.
It's been 2 years, so i figure a change of scenery is long overdue, this webpage will still remain afloat: albeit as an unconscious reminder of trying to forget.
The new webpage already has 5 pages of Art; photos mostly, although some of my paintings= finished and un finished will be added ASAP; it'll be revealed to
the general public in the first week of December.

it's 8:33 PM on a cold, balmy saturday in f/d.
The new webpage is just about finished: all's i got to do is upload the mp3s,
type out a few lines here and there, and
voila , instant homepage. The new art has definitely progressed nicely. But it's still lo-fi...i'm not about to forfeit my generic ways just yet.
I used some Life magazines from 1961,1966,1969, and 1971 for my glorified snowflake cut-outs. There were some interesting reads in them i might add,
and the people looked so 'real' yet almost macabre. In the 1961 issue, i saw an ad for Flash-bulbs(for cameras) that read:
When You're Shooting Wild Indians, Don't Waste
a Shot.
And it had pictures of a couple of caucasian kids wearing red and green feathers and outfitted with duds similiar to R. Carlos Nakai.
Proof that contrary to popular belief, there was Truth in Advertising.

I've somewhat  cooled down after finding out some bad news last night:
Joe informed me that the STOP button on my Digital Recorder went out, rending it temporarilt inoperable...just what we needed, let me tellya.  I'm  a relatively calm person, but when someone chuckles nervously as they unload bad news, it only adds to the negative waves. We were gonna record some new songs for a Retrospective cd, but i'm undecided as to whether to wait for the recorder to be repaired, or to just use the songs we have now and Damn the Legation...but what is for certain is that there will be unheard--and fairly recent--mp3s on the new webpage.
2 are written by Joe and Almo...so they a bit different from mine.

I'm
really trying to take this latest obstacle in stride...

Light snow outside...doesn't look as bad as last sunday, but i'm gonna leave for work
early just in case. Constructing the webpage took up my whole weekend, but it was fun...it's such a release. Nothing comes close to projecting a creative venture.
i still need to inspect the damage done to our prized  burro(recorder)...the webpage is 99.5 % complete...maybe unveiled monday or tuesday.
Apocalypse Now showed yesterday, i've seen it more than a few times...but it did remind me that it is the Best Buddy-flick ever made,
Lethal Weapon eat your Heart out.

This is the last News entry in the History of this webpage...who'da thought
the last phrase would be:
Lethal Weapon Eat Your  Heart Out .
