Please take a few minutes to read this letter. It can only open your eyes & hopefully your hearts.
To Whom it May Concern;
If I could sum up all of my feelings into one word it would be "Help!". It couldn`t be more simple than that. I was accused, charged, tried and convicted of crimes I did not commit nor was I present for. To top it off, during this whole ordeal - which began 4/20/1995. I became a victim of a malicious prosecutorial misconduct. Believe me when I say that I can go on and on stating facts in this regard and I`m 100% positive if you`ll lend me your eyes & ears you`ll see that a great in justice was committed. It is very difficult to obtain legitimate assistance nowadays when you don`t have the adequate finances to do so. Most of all of the innocent campaigns that offer pro bono assistance only accept cases that have DNA Evidence for a reversal of judgment. Does that mean cases with DNA possibilities are the only cases in which people were wrongly convicted? |

The answer is NO! Let`s look at this: In order for the convictions in these DNA cases to have occurred in the first place, there had to be some tainted evidence or testimony. Being as though I am in a position where I am fighting for my life, I have taken an interest in cases that have been overturned. I`ve seen examples of this quite regularly in these past years. Some I`ve read in newspapers and some I`ve watched on shows like Dateline and 60 minutes. In every example, there was a lying witness or perjured testimony. To be honest, I am glad it has taken DNA to prove this misconduct. DNA is irrefutable and if you have a witness swearing upand down that the defendant is the perpetrator, for whatever reason, only to find out years later that this defendant couldn`t possibly have been the perpetrator due to DNA evidence. It has to make you wonder. So putting my pride aside, I am asking for "Help". I have never and will never claim to be a perfect angel, but I`ve done nothing even remotely closeto deserve spending the rest of my life in prison. Please take a chance on me or at the very least get to know me and my struggle a little.Rest assured that any efforts made on my behalf will not be in vein. |
