| Captive Urban ArtworX is a non-profit organization established to assist innocently convicted prisoners & their loves ones, continuing on through the appeals process. Founded in 2002, C.U.A.'s mission is to create an online community web ring that will include a network of information for families naive to the due processes of the law & the justice system in general. This will include legal & attorney referrals, financing programs for DNA, attorney, and/or private investigating services, contact info in your local area, & most importantly an online forum for all to voice their opinions on current issues. | |||||||||||||||||||
| Freedom of expression is one of the few rights available to an individual incarcerated. C.U.A. will spotlight the art of those innocent men and women who come to us for help. We proudly support those soldiers who are willing to do their part while fighting their cases behind the walls. | |||||||||||||||||||
| We decided to create a positive message via the Internet. Freedom of Expression, Community, Education, Support and Activism is our moral foundation. Our message simply being that there are truly innocent people locked up unjustly and can't get out unless they have money and resources to do so. | |||||||||||||||||||
| Our first featured artist is E. Michael Moore. He is diligently working on his appeals and has donated artwork to this site and our sister site, HoodWear StyleZ. One day, C.U.A. will be able to assist those who are in `Need to be Freed` regardless of income, race, gender, disability or conviction. That is my vision... |
