Substrate Wetting

Substrate wetting additives allow coatings and inks to wet out various kinds of surfaces, even the ones having very low surface energies. Surface defects such as crawling and craters are thereby eliminated, flow, levelling and adhesion of the coating film are improved.

Wet KL 245 0.1-1.0 % water-based coatings on metal/plastic/wood
Wet 250 0.1-1.0 % water-based coatings on metal/plastic/wood
Wet 260 0.1-0.7 % water-based coatings and printing inks
Wet 265 0.2-1.5 % water-based coatings on wood/plastic, good substrate wetting with relatively little foam stabilization
Wet ZFS 453 0.2-0.6 % solvent-based and UV-curing coatings and inks
Wet 500 0.1-1.0 % combining wetting and degassing in water-based systems without negative side-effects, solvent- and silicone-free
