Christmas Dinner & PRIZEGIVING
Friday 18th December 2009
Tumbling Weir, Ottery St Mary
The Annual Squadron Christmas Dinner, and Prize Giving.

The evening takes the form of an RAF Mess formal Dinner, with rules (see below) culminating in a series of presentations for the best cadets of the year in a variety of forms.

There is a small cost associated with this dinner, but the Squadron does subsidise the meal in order to put it within the grasp of all the cadets where possible. If any cadet has a problem, please ask at the office - we can always come to some arrangement in exceptional circumstances.

Please check the menu out !! we need your menu choices SOON. put YOUR menu choices (not on behalf of someone) on the Squadron Noticeboard.

ENJOY THE EVENING
DRESS CODE:
For a semi-formal dinner such as we are having, dress will be determined by the CO.
In this instance MESS DRESS or interim Mess dress has been decided

What does this mean then?

Male Cadets will wear issued Uniform Trousers, but instead of the issued shirt, you will wear a WHITE shirt with a bow tie.
Female Cadets will wear Skirt as issued but with a WHITE blouse and either Bow tie, or a normal black tie(as issued). Females may choose to wear a cocktail dress in lieu of interim Mess dress. Short Skirts, and/or sleeveless tops are not permitted.
Cummerbunds are optional.
Headgear will NOT be required.

In a real Service mess being inappropriately dressed for Dinner will get you barred no dinner!. We are not so draconian though, and items deemed inappropriate will probably levy some kind of forfeit, dependant upon how inappropriate the transgression.

As well as the standard protocols (listed above) it may be that various Mess Games will be ongoing. You will be briefed on arrival, and before we enter the dining room as to what games are to happen, and the rules for each.
