One day when they are
grown and become a mother,
they will then know
and cherish the love I have for them.
For they can share
the love with their own children,
as I have with them and always will.
" To My Daughters "
When I look at you I see life and love.
You both are the gift I
received from up above.
I knew by your first years
that your future would be bright.
Your eyes light up
as you take in all the sights.
As you both grow up and
questionscome from your minds,
The knowledge you both seek,
may not always be so easy to find.
No matter what road
either of you may take,
your life is the best you can make.
The words " I love you "
come from my heart,
there is nothing and nobody that can
ever tear us apart.
" A Daughter's Loving Ways "
A daughter brings sunshine
to brighten your days,
And she brings world of joy
through her warm, loving ways...
The sweet things she's done
and the nice things she's said
Are memories to cherish
throughout years ahead.
A daughter is a blessing
that comes from above,
She's a special and
beautiful treasure to love!
" An Angel "
Once upon a time there was a child
ready to be born. The child asked God,
"They tell me you are sending me to
Earth tomorrow,but how am I going to live there
being so small and helpless?"God replied,
"Among the many Angels, I chose one for you.
Your Angel will be waiting for you and will
take care of you." The child further inquired,
"But tell me, here in Heaven I don't have
to do anything but sing and smile to be happy."
God said, "Your Angel will sing for you
and will also smile for you every day.
And you will feel your Angel's love and be
very happy." Again the child asked,
"And how am I going to be able to understand
when people talk to me if I don't
know the language?"
God said, "Your Angel will tell you the
most beautiful and sweet words you will
ever hear, and with much patience and care,
your Angel will teach you how to speak."
"And what am I going to do when I want
to talk to you?" God said, "Your Angel will
place your hands together and will teach
you how to pray." "I've heard that on Earth there
are bad men. Who will protect me?"
God said, "Your Angel will defend you even
if it means risking it's life."
"But I will always be sad because
I will not see you anymore."
God said, "Your Angel will always talk
to you about me and will teach you the
way to come back to me, even though I will
always be next to you."
At that moment there was much peace in Heaven,
but voices from Earth could be heard
and the child hurriedly asked,
"God, if I am to leave now,
please tell me my Angel's name."
"Her name is not important.
You will simply call her Mom."
" Through A Child's Eyes "
The world is an adventure,
there's so many things to see.
The search for buried treasure,
climbing high up in a tree.
Finding shells along the seashore,
playing marbles in the sand,
skipping stones across the pond,
throwing as far as you can.
Playing a game of hide and seek,
way back out in the woods
Pretending you're a robber,
and stealing all the goods.
Wading barefoot in a creek,
and trying to catch a frog.
Or going to your favorite park,
and playing frisbee with your dog.
And as I sit and wonder,
it comes as no surprise.
How little things can seem so big,
seen through a child's eyes.
" My Wishes For You "
Wishing for you both:
Enough health to be independent,
Enough challenges to grow,
Enough love to fill your heart,
Enough faith to fill your soul.
" A Child "
A child is part of our body and soul,
a child is someone we point toward a goal.
A child always seeks attention and love,
A child is a gift from the One up above.
A child will not always do as they are told,
they want their own way and act plenty bold.
They'll argue and fight and get us upset,
and then act so sweet, it's us who will fret.
A child we'll promise to guide life through,
a child, what's a child? It's what we were too.
" Reflections of A Mother "
I gave you life,
but cannot live it for you.
I can teach you things,
but I cannot make you learn.
I can give you directions,
but I cannot be there to lead you.
I can allow you freedom,
but I cannot account for it.
I can take you to church,
but I cannot make you believe.
I can teach you right from wrong,
but I cannot always decide for you.
I can buy you beautiful clothes,
but I cannot make you beautiful inside.
I can offer you advice,
but I cannot accept it for you.
I can give you love,
but I cannot froce it upon you.
I can teach you to share,
but I cannot make you unselfish.
I can teach you respect,
but I cannot force you to show honor.
I can advise you about friends,
but I cannot choose them for you.
I can advise you about sex,
but I cannot keep you pure.
I can tell you the facts of life,
but I cannot build your reputation.
I can tell you about drinking,
but I cannot say "no" for you.
I can warn you about drugs,
but I cannot prevent you from using them.
I can tell you about loftly goals,
but I cannot acheive them for you.
I can teach you about kindness,
but I cannot force you to be gracious.
I can warn you about sins,
but I cannot make you moral.
I can love you as a child,
but I cannot place you in God's family.
I can pray for you,
but I cannot make you walk with God.
I can tell you how to live,
but I cannot give you eternal life.
