More acidious, more chillied, more salty irritating much hot or cold, dried, hard and hardly digestible are Rajasa foods.

Stale, tasteless, perished, spoiled, party eaten juice less, dirt unclean, non eatable are thamasa foods. Gifts will have to be given to proper deserving persons at times of needs without conceit, and without degrading recipients and without forming superiority complex and expecting nothing in return are Sathva.

Gifts given in ostentation, slandering, conceit expecting appreciation and favour, in superiority to recipient and in grudge are Rajasa.

Gifts given to undeserving person in an unauthorized manner, inappropriate place are Thamasa.

Sacrifice or Thyaga of fruits in unattached mood in deeds, performance of performable deeds to rules of sasthra without hatred in distress and undesirous of pleasures is sathva.
