People are grouped into the above four categories in accordance with the qualities of which group prevail and dominate them and not by birth.

To do the duties intended to be done by others is very difficult than doing ones own duties even though that may be defective, Just as fire is covered by ashes. Intention to do others duties may land one into trouble. Just as a student who had not at all studied mathematics, opted to study mathematics as main subject in his graduation may fail in his examination

Shradhdah Gunas (Behaviour, Wisdom, Action, performer, sense, determination of heart, Food, Gifts, Yagna and Thyaga are grouped into three categories as Sathva, Rajasa, Thamasa.

Sometimes Sathva over powers and supercedes Rajasa and thamasa, sometimes Rajasa supercedes Sathva and Thamasa, sometimes Thamasa supercedes sathva and Rajasa.
