The Big Love
Alison Hopkin's boyfriend, Tom, goes out in the middle of a dinner party to buy more Dijon mustard and then he calls her from a pay phone to say he won't be coming home. He's left her for his beautiful ex-girlfriend Kate Pearce, the kind of woman about whom men say rhapsodically, "She's like a drug" Alison had always feared Tom's looks would land her in trouble- having a handsome boyfriend is like having a white couch, an invitation to disaster.
But if Tom isn't her Big Love, who is?
This book was a great read for me because it hit so many points on relationships and many of the relationship problems Alison had, I've experianced one way or another. I felt her pain, anger and love.
I found myself comparing my friends to Alison's  friends and found that my friends each matched one of hers.
This book was great but don't take my word for it. Read it and then tell me what you think.
" When you're making pancakes the first one soaks up all the grease on the griddle, so you have to throw it away, " said Cordelia. " Henry can soak up all the grease left over from Tom. Then your griddle will be ready to go. Enjoy your greasy pancake. And then throw him away."
I found myself highlighting quotes and veiws I found that hit close to home.
?Was there a quote or veiw you liked?
