- Straight Grain. - Fine Texture. - Light color is exceptional for taking stain. - Not as strong as Poplar or Oak, but looks much better. > Poplar - Straight Grain. - Good Even Texture. - Takes stain well. A bit darker than Basswood. - Strong. > Red Oak - Straight Grain. - Coarse Texture. (may not be very smooth). - Pinkish/Reddish color may lead to oddities with light colored stain. - Very Strong. |
