There are some things about you
That I'd really like to poke at

Why is it I should love you,
When all you do is gloat?
Why should I accept you,
When they shove you down my throat?

Because I understand you,
to be some sort of 'savior.'
But what I do not understand,
is your childish behavior.

You've got a perfect excuse though,
the illusion of your 'plan.'
But I have to hand it to ya God,
You're the most succesful con man!

This was a poem I wrote for an 8th Grade poetry project, and I found it very amusing to write. Let me explain it, by taking a few examples from the satanic bible.
When a family member or loved one dies, a religious man or woman often will hide their god's mercilessness through a common excuse, such as "it was gods will" or, "they're in gods hands now...". But wouldn't you rather have your friend with you, instead of some place far away? People have been hiding behind these excuses far too long. If god is in complete control, then why should these things happen to us, allowed by such a 'loving god'.

One thing I've noticed about Christianity is that they believe they are the ONE TRUE faith, unlike most other religions who are very tolerant of other beliefs. They do whatever is in their power to try to gain more members into thier cult, and usually they do this by fear. (fear of hell)

Throughout the bible, Jesus and God very proudly and blatantly proclaim their greatness. God's made numerous threats of sending one to hell for not worshipping him, and if god really truly forgives all, wouldnt it be okay in his eyes to not trust something they have no actual knowledge of? Jesus and God are portrayed very arrogant in the bible, with claims such as "if you love your mother, father, or child more than I, you are not worthy of me"....yes, that quote is real, check the book of mathew. In the bible, god has tried to gain followers through hateful and violent acts, such as the destroying of cities and the flooding of the world. Obviously, no one will ever love him or fear him unless he starts cracking skulls....

What I dispise most about christianity is that its all centered around fear....fear of satan..sin...hell...entertainment...swearing, sex, homosexuals, anything you can think of that makes you feel good, they're probobly against it. Anything that makes you enjoy yourself, they often find sinful and spiritually wrong. They scare little children into thinking that if you do these kinds of things, you are GOING TO HELL, NO QUESTIONS ASKED. I would know. I was one of these children. I'm not sure when it dawned on me that the only reason I was a stupid lamb was fear, but I'm certainly glad it did. Allow me to make this final statement: If there is a god, I will do everything I can to make sure he's taken out of power.
