Let us pretend that I believe in god, so I can make this easier to understand.
Now, we all know God knows the future. He has a plan for each one of us and he knows exactly what we are going to do, and when we are going to do. But christians also tell us we have free will.
Here's why that makes no damn sense
Say there was a person who knew the future. They knew exactly what decisions you would make, what would happen to you....ect. Now, say this person asks you a question. It can be any question.
If I were to answer saying the number '1', the person knew I would say it, meaning the decision has already been made. If I wanted to CHANGE that decision, there could be no being that knew the future, and in that case, there would be no future to change, so that would be impossible. Even if I thought I could change my 'decision' by trying to conciously choose one, thinking of my 'future decision', it would do no good, since, that 'future decision' would include those thoughts and actions in itself. The illusion of free will and a god who knows the future is an easy and comforting one to believe, and if you are foolish enough to blindly believe it, or even if you just havnt thought much about it, please stop kidding yourselves and give your brain a little workout. ONCE AGAIN: If there is a being who knows the future, we ourselves cannot have free will.
You might (if you are, you are a fucking moron) "so, who cares?". The reason I brought this up, is to point out some major faults in the book of genesis. Consider this...God, knowing the future, and knowing that future would be flooding world and murdering all of its inhabitants (spare noah and the animals), created the earth. Again, when god created the earth, HE KNEW HE'D HAVE TO KILL IT. He created the earth anyway. Since the people did not know the future, there would have been no way to change thier sinful ways. Whatever they did, the world would still have been flooded, since that was the future, and God knew it.
What does this mean? It means that God is a cold blooded murderer. He basically, created the humans SO he could kill them. If he didnt want to kill them, he would have made them without the ability to sin, or just not made them at all. Some people claim that God was mearly setting an example for us, to love him or face the consequences. That...just doesn't seem fair. I bet they wouldnt be singing the same tune if they were the ones being killed. And besides that, thats basically telling us if we dont love him he'll kick our asses. Applied to another situation....it might look something like this.
A terrible parent, who spends no time with a child, laughs at him, yells at him and calls him names. And the parent expects the child to love him, or face a harder life....
Doesnt sound like a very loving god to me. And the amusing thing about this is that Christians never question their masters, and just remain loyal, tame lamb and laugh at others who dont believe in the same things as they do. They refuse to see the obvious faults and loopholes in their beliefs, which are far too numurous to rightfully ignore.
