The new kid

He is seen sitting there all alone,
What he is like, is not very known,
Mystery, sums up his life all in one word,
He sits there quiet, while getting slurred,
He wants to open up, but no one will listen,
A friend is the only thing he is missing,
People don't know, his lonliness is driving him insane,
He smiles to people just to hide the pain,
He's shunned because he's new at the school,
He is so shy, he is taken for a fool,
He wondered and wondered, what did he do?
Why'd he get all the pain they put him through,
He felt so sad in "The land of the free."
That shunned shy kid happened to be me,
Things changed, my heart just might mend,
But will it stay that way until The End?
