One Hour Photo By: Infant_Launcher ![]() Let me just say that I started watching this movie with high hopes. People told me it was a great movie about a crazy guy who gets all creepy and freaks out. I heard it was scary and disturbing, so naturally I couldnt wait to see it. I sat down, popped the DVD into my X-Box and prepared to see some slashing. The movie starts off pretty slow, giving you time to understand and learn about the characters. The psychotic Photo Clerk is played by none other then Robin Williams. His name is Sy Parrish, and he is terribly lonely. Like any lonely photo clerk is want to do, Sy becomes obsessed with a family that regularly processes their photos at the One Hour Photo hut. Sy becomes really obsessed with the family, and he has about 1000 pictures of them all over his walls. He always watches them and follows them around. I must say my heart really goes out to poor psycho, everyone should have a family, but being creepy and obsessed with strangers isnt the best way to go about getting one. Robin Williams plays a very convincing role. I mean I could really see him being an obsessive old guy that steals family pictures and glues them to his walls. The movie progresses but nothing really happens. Finally Sy gets fired, and about the same time he finds out that the family he is stalking has problems. The father in the family is having an affair. This is about the time Sy snaps; I was totally ready for the psycho slashing to begin.   Sy steals a huge knife, I mean HUGE. He finds the husband having his little affair in a hotel and he goes in. By this time he is completely flipping out, and is obviously gone from creepy to Ted Bundy. He makes the father and the woman do weird sexual poses while he takes pictures of them. Then he attacks! But the screen flips to cops coming into the hotel. When it comes back to Sy, he is in another hotel room all sweaty and washing off in a sink. I was like; he definitely must have killed them. The rest of the movie Sy gets chased by police and then gets caught. The thing is, he didnt kill anyone, and he just left their hotel room. Then Sy is all sad and in an interrogation room and blah blah blah nothing happens. The movie ends, and I feel completely ripped off. This isnt a serial killer movie, because Sy is just a creepy old man, and nothing really happens in the whole movie. I think the director forgot the part where the movie picks up and something happens. Instead its about a creepy bastard who wants a family, and doesnt get one Wow! Thats it folks, this movie sucked. SCORE: C- started good, but quickly turned into a steamy pile of B.S.
