Homeschooling Your High School Student

Florida public schools require 24 credits to graduate. These are broken down as follows:

English			4
Science			3 (2 credits plus 1 lab credit)
Practical Arts		.5
Performing Arts		.5
Life Mgmt Skills		.5
Physical Education	.5
Mathematics		3
American History		1
Electives		9
World History		1
U.S. Government		.5
Economics		.5

Total: 24 credits

Note that one credit hour is equivalent to 135 hours of instruction, roughly one year's instruction in a traditional school.
