Lavender Carpet Fresh

                           Ingredients Needed

                        Coffee Bean Grinder
                         Wide Mouth Funnel
                         Shaker or Containor

              Large household size box
                      Baking Soda
               1 Cup Lavender Flowers
                  Lavender Essentiel Oil (optional)



              I use alot of coffee creamer so I save the containers to use for my Carpet Fresh. The spout is perfect to distribute the Carpet Fresh around the house.
               Coffee Bean Grinder DO NOT use one that you will use for your coffee beans. Purchase one at a yard sale or thrift store to use only for grinding your herbs

This is one of the easiest ways to make your house smell like a field of lavender. And it is great to remove pet odors from your carpet. You may add some Lavender Essential Oil for a stronger scent but I have found that it is not necassery. The Lavender flowers hold alot of scent. I have even used Lavender flowers that were about 6 years old and they still smell wonderful

     Assemble all your ingredients
   I buy the baking soda in the household size box. About half the box is what i use.
   Pour the baking soda in to a mixing bowl. Glass is better to use because plastic will absorb the scent from the Lavender flowers..
   You will need about 1 cup of Lavender Flowers.
    Place half the flowers into the grinder and pulse until the flowers are a nice fluffy powder.. Repeat with the remaning flowers.. Now just combine the flowers with the baking soda and stir untill the flowers are mixed in evenly. You can add a few drops of Lavender EO if you'd like but it really is'ny necassary. Use a large spout funnel to fill your shaker or containor.
