Measure your Calendula Oil into a stainless steal or glass pot. You may also use a double broiler if you have one.Heat oil on a low temp to prevent scorching. Add bees wax.Allow bees wax to melt stirring occasionally.. Once the bees wax is melted remove pot from the heat and add cocoa butter. The reason for this is that bees wax can withstand a higher heat then the cocoa butter. At this point the cocoa butter will melt from the heat of your oil and bees wax.
Add your essential oil and stir. Pour into clean jars. Allow the balm to cool at room temperature
befor putting the lid on the jar. |
