TRUNION INTEGRATION,  INSTRUCTIONS (-44)                                                            CT-13

NOTE:  The axle must be square to the frame or the chain will not track properly and will
wear the sprockets excessively or jump off the sprockets.

Place frame on AF-1, with the aft end of the center frame approximately 21 inches in from
the end.

Center the frame on AF-1, from side to side , both fore and aft.  Clamp in place.

With the mounting brackets and axle installed, place the truing on AF-1 and position the mounting brackets flush with the aft end of the center frame. (See drawing 100)

Center the mounting brackets side to side  on the frame.

NOTE: Do not clamp. The weight of the trunion will hold parts  in position. Clamping will
put stress on the bushings and result in early failure.

Using a TRY SQUARE, measure the distance from the axle to the end of AF-1, close to each
axle bearing.

If distances are not equal, move one mount bracket forward to equalize. This will place the axle
square with the frame.

QUALITY CHECK:  Mount brackets are centered side to side on the frame.

Mouth brackets are setting flat on the frame.

Axle is equal distance from AF-1 on both sides.

Tack mount brackets in place and recheck all measurements.

Remove trunion mounting bolts and remove trunion.

CAUTION: Do not do final welding with trunion attached or you will melt the PVC bushings.

Complete welding of the trunion mount brackets.

Reattach trunion and check all measurements.

This completes integration of the trunion
