| ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS, SEAT SUPPORT / UPPER BOW CT-8 REV-B 1 of 2 Read all instructions before beginning assembly. Complete the seat support rectangle. (drawing 100, sheet 1) Place the center/forward frame on AF-1. Locate frame 12 inches from the end of AF-1 and centered. Clamp in position. Screw Aft Support (AF-5) to end of AF-1. Center support and insure center line is vertical. Level AF-1 Measure up from surface of AF-1, 21 � in. and draw a line across the Aft Support. Place a block (SK-5) across the line, level and clamp in position. Clamp the Fwd Support to the Center Frame main rail approximately 10 in. from the aft edge of the Center Frame. (SK-5) Clamp a block 16 in. up from the surface of the Center Frame.(SK-5) Place the Seat Support rectangle on the blocks. (SK-5) Position the Fwd Support so that the front edge of the rectangle is 10 in. from the aft edge of the center frame. Center the rectangle , from both outer edges of the center frame. Clamp in position. Center the rectangle, on the Aft Support, from both sides of AF-1. Clamp in position. QUALITY CHECK: Forward edge of rectangle is 10 in. from aft edge of center frame. Forward end of rectangle is 16 in. above the surface of the center frame. Forward end of rectangle is centered from the outer edges of the center frame. Rectangle is 21 � in. above AF-1 at the aft support. Rectangle is centered from both edges of AF-1 , at the Aft Support. Rectangle is level, left to right. Cut, fit and weld Seat Verticles (Drawing 100). Use level, or square to insure they are vertical. Cut, fit and weld Seat Angle Braces. Cut, fit and weld Vertical Backers. Remove Aft Support. Leave Fwd Support in position to stabilize seat during installation of Upper Bow. ������������������������������������������.. Make two upper bows.(Drawing 100) CT-8 REV-B 2 of 2 Clamp a 30 in. 1 by 4 to the Center Frame on one main rail, approximately below the highest point the bow. Using a Carpenter square and level , aligh the bow above the main rail. Using an appropriate spacer between the bow and vertical support, clamp the bow to the support to hold it in position. Weld bow in position. Remove the vertical support Positio the second bow and clamp it to the first bow, with appropriate spacer , for support. Cut, fit and install forward angle braces. (Drawing 100) Remove Fwd Support from front of seat rectangle. NOTE: Do not install shock mount support plates. The position of these plates will be determined by the shocks selected. Install Bow cross braces where indicated. (Drawing 100) NOTE: Steering Rod supports will be determined by the steering rod support bearings selected. This completes assembly of the upper bow and seat support. |
