CENTER FRAME / FORWARD FRAME  INTEGRATION                                                           CT-6

Place AF-1 on a stable support and level from side to side.

Place center frame on AF-1, center from side to side and aline aft edge with one end of AF-1.

Clamp center frame in position and assure that forward end of main rails lay flat on AF-1

Place forward frame on AF-1 with the aft end between the forward end of the main rails and overlapping
by 1 in. (See SK-2)

Place a 1 in. by 6 in. block under the front of, and perpendictilar to the forward frame and elevate it 1   in. at the forward edge. (See SK-2)

Place a level across the center frame and verify it is level from side to side.

Place a level across the top of the the forward frame and verify it is level from side to side.
If not level, move one end of the support block fore or aft to level. Re check elevation .

Measure from one side of AF-1 to the aft end and forward end of the forward frame to assure it is aligned
longitudionally with the center frame (the measured distances should be equal). If not equal,
move the front of the forward frame left or right to equalize them.

Place a "C" clamp across the main rails just aft of the forward frame. (See SK-2) Tighten clamp and "pinch" the forward frame between the rails.

QUALITY CHECK:  Center frame is level from side to side.

Forward frame is level from side to side.

Forward frame is elevated 1 in. at forward edge.

Main rails overlap forward frame by 1 in.

                                    Forward frame is aligned longitudionally.

                                    "C" clamp is secure.

Weld main rails to aft end of forward frame on upper surfaces.

Remove "C" clamps.

Invert assembly and complete welding on lower surfaces.

This completes integration of the center frame and forward frame.
