Their is a lot of good story's around these organisation's of people trying to make a change from there former life, Norm you have to take the good with the bad in this job. The statement about volunteers having to pay for meals has been contradicted by two reliable sources in WestCare. "Well good on you norm, you have made everyone paranoid.. Now all volunteers have to pay for a meal that they deserve to get for nothing, and the paid staff have tightened the already very strict rules to a point where it's just not worth their time or effort to travel from all over Adelaide,to slave their guts out preparing food,cooking it ,serving the food, clearing the dishes,washing the dishes,cleaning the kitchen, giving out take home food, ( milk, flavoured milk , bread and cakes, all of which are generously given to agencies around Adelaide) ,and then to graciously take the abuse from people who have had a rough night. And they cop this kind of abuse pretty much every day. even from me at times. Of course we all know who you are talking about and we all also know that it is you writing all this stuff but you cleverly try to make it look like others are contributing. The facts don�t matter - we all know there is an element of fact behind your comments but the distortions make it all the more interesting and funny. I know and have spoken to a person in DFC and 2 who work for health department. They have all seen the site after I told them about it and they too find it extremely funny. No one takes it seriously. I talk to people at Hutt St Centre and a lot are aware of what you are doing.
