The show at Oasis had a good lineup and decent crowd. I was in and out all night. It stinks when there are so many good shows going on at once. This review is for the two bands I caught.
The openers were Brazen Hussy. This power quartet is made up of New London locals.
Sara of Bank St. on vocals, Liz of The Liz Larsons on guitar, Rich of Low Beam on bass and Matt of Fatal Film on drums. Their sound makes me think of pre-punkers like The Dead Boys, L.A.’s X mixed with Frank Black smoking crack. These guys are a fun band to watch and play with. Check out some music at www.myspace.com/brazenhussyband
Pash from Fredericksburg, VA is a female fronted four-piece indie rock band. The music was good and they had great stage presence. It just wasn’t something that really stuck out for me. Their music is worth checking out however. You can find some tunes at www.myspace.com/pashva or www.pashband.com
Low Beam and ISL also played during the night. You can check out reviews for both bands posted earlier on the blog. Shaun
