Homefront Tucson
I walked on eggshells for 20 years. My husband started seeing a counselor at the Vet Center who diagnosed PTSD. I still walked on eggshells. He spent a year in EMDR therapy. Eggshells up to my ankles.

Two years ago, he was recommended for the EBTU Program. He was gone for three weeks but seemed to have learned a lot by the time he came home two days before Christmas. Three days after Christmas, I saw the eggshells creeping up toward my knees!

In desperation, I went online and searched for Vietnam, Wives, & PTSD. The group I found saved my marriage by saving my sanity! Finally, a place of understanding where I could vent my frustrations while my beloved husband integrated the tools he was given in the EBTU.

Now, two years later, the few remaining eggshells barely crunch if I happen to step on one. There really is a light at the end of the tunnelits much easier to find with a little help from friends who truly understand.
