She was born in Brisbane in Queensland and was raised in Dampier.
She attended a performing arts school at the age of 14.
She founded the SWY Theatre Co along with 7 other people.
She went to Sydney in 1989 to live for a year then returned to Perth. She went back to Sydney in 1992 where she has lived ever since.
