| Great Moments in Soap... Home and Away, 27th Feb 2001 Four years ago this fortnight, Chloe Richards discovered the identidy of her attacker... Background... The residents of Summer Bay were shocked when Chloe Richards (Kristy Wright) suffored a horrific attack as she walked home alone after a party. Later, a man was arrested but found not guilty, however, when he left the courthouse, Chloe's father shot him dead. Thinking her ordeal was over, Chloe embarked on a relationship with her new school councelor, Brad Cooper (Bruce Samazan). But when she began recieving sinistar phone calls, it looked as if her dad had killed the wrong man. Desperate to get away from the Bay, Chloe took up Brad's offer of a weekend in the Bush. Little did she know she was heading straight for danger... The moment... After arriving at a cosy cabin up in the mountains, Chloe set about playing house, while Brad went off to collect water. But her feeling of happiness soon turned to horror when, among Brad's things, she discovered a tape of one of the threatening phone calls she had recieved. Realising the man she loved was actually the man she feared most, a terrified Chloe tried to escape, but there was nowhere to hide. Luckily for Chloe, during his terrifying persuit of her, Brad snared himself in one of the mantraps he had hidden around the area earlier. The aftermath... Back in Summer Bay, the sister of the man Chloe's father had shot revealed to Travis Nach (Nic Testoni) that her brother had only gone of the rails after meeting Brad Cooper. As Brad lay close to death, Travis and the police arrived at the cabin, and Brad was rushed to hospital. Although he lived, Brad lost a legand, after issueing a bomb threat to the hospital, he was finally arrested and jailed. Brad never returned to the Bay, but Chloe was left traumatised by the whole experiance. Off-Screen... When the episodes were broadcast in the UK, there was a publicity outcry over the number of number of scenes that were cut by the censors to make it acceptable for tea-time viewing. Where are they now? Kristy Wright left Home and Away in 1999 and went on to appear in the Aussie drama, Above the Law, playing an aspring actress called Belinda, but the show was axed due to poor ratings. Kristy has also enjoyed a stint as a celebrity journolist for Australian TV guide, TV Week. Bruce Samazan, who had previously appeared as born-again Christian Mark Gottlieb in Neighbours, is still involved in acting and has recently presented a home renovation show.
