A Shelter In The Valley

When problems of this life seem to weigh you down,
And tears come into your eyes,
There is a place of refuge,
One of quiet peace and solitude:
A place with the Father,in which you can hide.

There is shade from the heat of the battle,
Refreshing water from above for your soul,
The Father's loving arms will embrace you,
His grace will caress you,
And His beauty you will behold.

Are you facing a mountain
or walking through a valley?
Are there struggles that just seem too hard to bear?
Then wait upon the Father as you go on further.
You will mount up on wings as an eagle,
run and not grow weary;
For in this shelter He will meet you,
Nothing can defeat you; With Him you can abide.

Are there those who have failed you and loved ones
who have disappointed you? Do you feel at times no one cares?
The Father knows how you're feeling and He is
"still healing",
He will take all your hurts and answer your
heart's prayers.

Do you long for peace and joy....
and a life that is blessed?
Do you need a friend as you walk through this land?
Do you need a hand to guide you
and one to be beside you?
Come and walk with Jesus,
He always hears his children and always understands.

How many times have you prayed for struggles to end, how many times have you
longed for cruel words to subside?
Jesus has walked before you,
He will lead and restore you;
Come to Him today, and in his love you can hide.

The grave could not hold him and hell could not
control him,
He was Victor over death and the grave.
We are his children and we have His promises,
Because He lives our souls have been forgiven;
and by his Grace we have been saved.

When you are facing a mountain or
you walk through a lonely valley,
Listen to the song he placed in your heart.
The love you were given when He said "forgiven",
will lead you and guide you;
His love is a shelter which will never depart.

What joy just to know Him, what bliss to behold Him,
Each day He writes music in your soul.
The angels from heaven know you are forgiven,
and sing a melody of the greatest story this world has ever known.

So keep looking upward to the one who lives on high,
His lovingkindess rewrote your life;
Hold on to the Saviour and live in his favor;
one day He will call you, to His home in the sky.

Just speak to the mountain in the lovely name of Jesus,
By faith the mountain must depart,
The mountains will crumble, as before Him you humble,
He will write a new song of joy, and place it within your heart.
