The personal history of Dumas Nichells. I was born five years before the coming of orcs into our world, in the kingdom of Stromgarde. My parents are Hawthorn and Sarah Nichells. While the war in Azeroth raged on without our knowledge, I was chosen to apprentice a Paladin named Sir Sage Truthbearer. He taught me the methods of war, justice, and healing. When the orcs finaly came to our lands though I was but 12 at the time I chose to fight allong side him and his forces and through this gained much experience to my person. Finally the orcs were beaten back and the portal destroyed; or so we believed. As the orcs were hearded into the internment camps me and Sir Truthbearer were gaurds at one such camp in southern Lorderon. During this time I developed associations with the Horde's youth while convincing them to abandon such aggresive warfare as they were used to. One young orc named Karnec Volgoth whom I befriended. When the Dark portal was reconstructed I remained at my post on orders even though I wished to fight the Bleeding Hollow and War Song clans. Eventually the conflicts died down and the horde lost it's will to fight. Then the Reign of Chaos began. Durring this long conflict we faught evil on every side. By what appeared to be the end of the war Stromgarde was splintered and my master was dead. The main reason that I was not dead is that I was placed in diplomatic missions more than conflicts, although I still had my share. Now I was one of the few left of the honorable nation of Stromgaurde and although I had heard that Jaina Proudmoore had left the mainlands, I determined to stay and aid my people. As the undead in Lorderon pressed against us we retreated back to Azeroth. And so we stayed for many years... |
