Once in Africa, Chester met for the first time a lifelong friend, Colonel Reginald Wallopsworth of the 694th colonial bagpipe battallion.He stayed for some weeks in the headquarters at rhodesia. It was here that the Colonel was murdered. The chiefs of police sent form scotland yard to investigate the murder were baffled. Chester however was a much sharper customer and following the only clue at the scene of the peculiarly opened tin of gherkins he managed to deduce that he was indeed murdered by the local brass monkey salesman. He was however moved by the young mans deep love of the colonel's mute daughter, who could only communicate with the use of an accordion. As such he aided the young man and his love, diguised as flamenco dancers, escape with him to India for another adventure.... |
