We all know that Satan thinks that he is the best rugby coach in the universe. He will select anyone in his teams who say yes to his voice of deception. Let us pray to discern good from evil and stop packing down and scrummaging for Satan, even if the oranges He gives to eat at half time are tasty. Do not be fooled by his feigning to be helpful!
Droopy-eyed rugby players from Satan�s first fifteen, Surely it is better to get black or red-eyed than to remain unreconciled before God? Do you not grasp that Satan is a rugby coach in opposition to Jesus Christ! Satan is also the anti-Christ in opposition to the God of grace, Jesus Christ. It is not only our unbecoming behaviour that leaves us with wobbly feet before the God of wisdom. Our very nature is corrupt. Our holy Maker asks us to acknowledge our many errors of judgment before Him.
God is always just. If your legs are too tired to get away from His loving voice now is the time to open your ears. God shows mercy to all people. Even in the punishment of evil-behaving people God shows mercy. However, His patience definitely has a limit for those who will not listen with both ears to Him! Let us not persist in rebellion.
Let us be attentive for our faith, hope and love for Our Maker and Sustainer has become droopy- eyed. There is hope. The remedy is to decide to commit oneself to God, Our Teacher. Be encouraged everyone can be taught to esteem His way of thinking and behaving. Set your heart on praying and working for true faith and good behaviour. Cry out to the Lord Your God for mercy. Now proceed to dedicate yourself to enduring His not-easy-to-pass tests, so that you can repent and turn totally to Him.
We do this by no longer stubbornly clinging to our hedonistic lifestyles. Start today and I and many others will continue to fight on your behalf. Come willingly unto Christ for godly counsel. God bless you droopy-eyed neighbour and rugby foe for taking your duties so seriously. Be wise now and expend no more futile energy on clinging to false treasures. To the spiritually blind wisdom has the appearance of foolishness! Faith, however, is God's blessing for the wisdom-seeking helpless. It's out of contrition, heart brokenness and insights into humiliation that humility is birthed!
The steep hills in life's obstacle courses require the energy of true faith to surmount successfully. We come to faith in Our righteous Redeemer because we have become exhausted and weakened. We come to faith in Jesus, the good Shepherd of Our soul, because we are now ready to give up our foolish non-reliance on Him. We consider coming to faith in Jesus because we have been on a very long lonely journey for more than is to be recommended. Still not been found by the purity of perfection? You can have success. Remember that the journey to living faith is one of both giving up relying on false treasures and of giving in!
It is a journey of giving in to Our holy Creator; for He alone is truly good! To experience child-like faith we will have to learn attentively from our many successes and failures. We have to learn that we must be more than willing to admit our helplessness. We can't save ourselves. To experience child-like faith we must understood that we all have to do more than rely on motivational courses, pep talks, or exercises in positive self-imaging.
Embracing true faith requires much, much more than this. Embracing true faith requires us to offer our bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God - which is our spiritual worship!
As we begin this process of embracing true faith God teaches us not to conform any longer to the pattern of this world. Droopy-eyed watchers of soaps, does even the Bill of Rights countenance this? The situation is that God requires us all to be transformed. Let us renew not stew our minds!
Let us pray to get stirred up by dramas off (not on) television or the internet. Let us even be prepared to sacrifice worshipping a sports idol.
Praise be unto God's hallowed Name; for as we consecrate ourselves unto God and not Satan, then and only then, will we be able to test and approve what God's will is - His good, pleasing and perfect will.
