Haggai 1:2-11- A Look at ministry

1:3 -   House- A place of dwelling

God's House- Place where God dwells.

"Our heart is God's house. Our relationship with God is our ministry.             We when our hearts aren't right our relationship falls apart hence our              ministry falls apart "

1:6 -
Food - Substance that nourishes the body

"Food"- Substance that nourishes the Spirit

"We eat the food of the world but are not satisfied. If we eat God's                 food (The Word) keeps us satisfied. As our ministry grows we                      sometimes tend to forget that we need to "eat" God's food and end               up eating the food of the World and become dissatisfied."

To Plant- To place a seed that will grow into a beautiful tree

Harvest - To reap of the seed that was planted.

" We plant the seed of Christ in the hearts of the people we encounter,             but we have not harvested. We tell people about Christ's salvation                 but no one gets saved"

1:8      Rebuild His house-
"We must rebuild our relationship with Christ so that we will                           remain in His Word and be satisfied with His truth. We must                        rebuild so that once we plant the seed we may also harvest."

Many times we wonder why we are not winning souls for Christ, why we
are not fulfilled and why we still feel cold inside. If we look at our lifestyle

we see the center is not Christ. We build ministries, get all wrapped up in the
technicalities of them, in getting them right and we forget about Christ. If we

get back to Him  and make Him our center, we will see that our progress

changes. We will see others seek Him and find Him. We will have the

priveledge of ushering people to the throne of God and seeing them grow in

His presence.
