The Aress were a peaceful folk, and they have inherited the immortality from the High Ones. For a very long time, they lived in peace, and weren�t bothered much by the outside world.
Time went by, and the Aress moved to new places. The humans, who fast had grown in both number and strength, had become much trouble for the Elves as the years passed, and they wanted to try to get as far away from them as possible.
Most of the Aress moved to a new Holt, which they called Aresunn. Moving this far north changed their living circumstances. They began to live high in the trees, which was a whole new way of living than they were used to. Because of this, their body build changed. Their long limbs grew shorter, so they could more easily suit their new way of living, and their beautiful look became harder and mightier, because of their now newly formed muscularity.
The older Aress are usually a bit taller than the young ones, and they do not usually grow beard. Else from that, they mostly look like most other elves, like the Wolfriders.
But the humans were still a great trouble, and they hated the elves above all else. The humans were the cause of almost all the trouble and grief that the Aress had.
It was because of the humans that Aresunn fell. Because of the humans greed and hate over the Elves.
The Aress weren�t used to diseases, and had no resistance to what was about to happen.
The humans, somehow, released a terrible disease which not only killed the elves, but also the humans themselves. The power of this disease was very strong, and no one it touched survived. Elves died in hundreds, alike with the humans. Though the humans� bodies were stronger against this disease, and they in the end somehow managed to nullify it, and were not affected anymore.
The Aress, on the other hand, who were not used to any kind of diseases, had no way to protect themselves.
The ones left, who did not die, decided that the best way of destroying the disease in their Holt, and not let it spread, was to burn down the whole Holt.
In grief and with heavy hearts they put up a big fire, burning the tainted Holt and the bodies, destroying the disease to protect the ones left, crying over the loved ones that they lost.
Exactly how many who survived the disease, and then the journey to find a new home, no one knows. They were divided, scattered around the world.
Some of these Aress came to T�Airen, after a long struggle in the cruel world to survive.
The Aress only got sending and Light Touch, but then again all of them have these skills. Most Aress only got weak Light Touch, but some are strong enough to blind their enemies.
