Love in the air - by K.S.M
Starwind looked up from the flowers she was picking when she heard a name ring inside her head.
"Aiya? Whose name is that?"
Her eyes slid towards Avelion, who were standing a few paces away, talking to Shadowcat and Ilm.
"Avelion?"
She didn't know what made her say his name, but something in her heart told her to go and ask him.
She straightened herself up and walked over to Avelion and the two others.
Just as she came up next to Avelion, Ilm and Shadowcat said good-bye to him and walked off in two different directions.
Starwind resisted her desire to stroke his blonde and wavy hair as she got him to turn around and look at her.
"Yes?"
His eyes were questioning.
Starwind wasn't sure how to ask him, so she just smiled at him.
"Uh... Did you want to ask me something?"
Avelion smiled a little smile.
"Um, yeah... Uh... I... ehm... I think I know your soulname."
His eyes went wide with surprise and anger.
"You do, do you? And what is it?"
"Aiya."
Avelion stared dumbfounded at the beautiful elf standing in front of him.
"Come again?"
"Aiya."
"How come you know my soulname," Avelion asked angrily.
Starwind looked at him with her pale blue eyes.
"You mean you don't know mine?"
"No I don't, and I don't want to either! Why won't you understand that? I don't want to recognize you!"
Avelion could see the disappointment in her eyes.
He felt bad for hurting her like that, but he was just telling the truth.
He wasn't ready to recognize anyone yet, especially not someone he didn't even have a friendship with.
"I'm sorry, but I don't really know you, and I don't feel anything for you. Besides, your soulname is hidden to me."
Starwind's eyes filled with tears.
She badly wanted him to accept the fact that they were supposed to be.
She didn't really know him, but she didn't mind getting to know him and, with time, love him.
Starwind looked into his beautiful eyes.
She had loved the fact that the left was green and the right blue since the first time she saw him.
"Can't you at least try to be friends with me if nothing else?"
Avelion sighed.
"Okay, friends are fine."
Starwind sighed in relief.
She knew she could win his heart.
She would, one way or another.

Avelion smiled against his will when he saw Starwind gliding along over the treetops.
During the night, her soulname had struck down in his soul, and Avelion had decided to accept the recognition.
He badly wanted someone to love, and decided it might as well be Starwind.
He knew he could learn to love her with time.

**Ivon?**
Starwind turned around in the air, wondering who the soft voice belonged to.
Her heart jumped with joy when she saw that Avelion was hanging in the air in front of her.
"Aiya!"
Avelion grinned to her.
**Teach me to love you?**
**I'd love to.**
